A green button with the word Save! on itThe Technology & Manufacturing Association and the Alliance for Industry and Manufacturing team up to help local companies through a federal workforce grant.

The Illinois Department of Commerce has awarded a federal workforce grant of $500,000 to the Alliance for Industry and Manufacturing in partnership with the Technology & Manufacturing Association.  This grant seeks to help Illinois companies offset the training costs of newly hired workers using on-the-job training.  This grant can also assist companies to upgrade the skills of their existing workers through incumbent worker training programs.

Previously the Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP), which was administered by Illinois Department of Commerce, assisted companies in Illinois with their workforce training needs.  However, this program is not currently funded.  To continue to assist companies in this area of need, the two organizations pursued funding through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  We can help your company now with your workforce training needs.

Included below, you will find two questionnaires, one for on-the-job training projects and one for incumbent worker projects.  After completing the forms, please contact us as we would be happy to sit down with you to determine if your company is eligible to receive 50% wage reimbursement (new employees) or 50% reimbursement of eligible training costs (incumbent workers) under our current grant.  For more information or further assistance, please contact either James or Pat in our office.  They can be reached at 773-594-9292 or by email at [email protected] and [email protected], respectively.
